THE PAULSON SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME AND NYSC SENSITIZATION

as selected students were awarded with scholarship and presented with gifts and certificates for outstanding academic performance by the Paulson Scholarship scheme, a brainchild of Corper Ajibi Olamide Paul.
Speaking with Press correspondent, Mr. Ajibi succinctly spoke on the initiative, giving thanks and Glory to God for a successful execution of the project which according to him has been his longtime dream. He urged students who may be feeling downcast to be motivated and stay determined to do even better than those awarded.
The occasion was honored by serving Gboloko Corp members, a Lokaja based Corper kolade Tolulope and Odenyi based Corper Okafor Loveth. Some members of BNAGS staff were also in attendance notably Rev. S.A Ajawo and Mr. Tshamiya who both (with the Corpers mentioned above) presented some of the gifts and awards to the recipient students.
The scholarship award was given to three J.S.S 3 students namely Udeaja Benedict, Yunusa Fujerat and Akumpa Godday. Mr. Ajibi Paul is the form master of JSS3 and those are the top 3 (academic) students in his class.
The award for outstanding performance was given to students in JSS1 Daudu Emmanuel, JSS 2 Daudu Gloria and SS1 Nungwa Johnson.
In a remarkable initiative, Corpers living in the "presidential lodge" presented gifts to the students who observed their morning piece in the lodge during the first and second term.
The part of sensitization was the second fold of the event, collaborated with NYSC CDS Gboloko. There were speakers for some burning issues and topic that centers on students' awareness. The three speakers did justice to the topics. Mr. Azage Micheal Joseph a corper spoke on the importance of education, Miss. Kolade Tolulope also a corper serving in Lokoja spoke on Girl child education and gender equality, while the host of the day Mr. Ajibi Paul spoke on Leadership.
In a press interview with some students, a student in SS2 by name Samson Sunday praised the initiators of the event and was happy to be present to gain a lot from the speakers.
The program ended after a closing remark by Rev. Ajawo, a closing prayer by Corper Azage, and then a photograph session with the recipients of awards.
